These awards were established to support members' continuing education and ongoing contributions to the planning profession by subsidizing the cost to attend APA's National Planning Conference (NPC). Members who are awarded funding will be reimbursed for eligible expenses related to attending APA’s National Planning Conference (NPC), as described below.

The Division is currently offering two types of Professional Contribution funding awards:

Professional Contribution: NPC25 Attendance Funding

This award provides up to $500 in flexible funding to help a professional (i.e., non-student) member of the Women & Planning Division attend NPC25 (in-person or online). Recipient(s) will be reimbursed for eligible expenses related to attending NPC25.

Application opens February 3.

Application closes February 19.

Recipients will be notified by February 26.

Up to four Division members will receive funding awards.

Professional Contribution: NPC25 Session Presenter Funding (new for 2025)
This award provides up to $600 in flexible funding for a professional (i.e., non-student) WPD member to attend NPC25 to present an educational session (in-person or online). Priority is given to members presenting sessions aligned with the Division's goals. Recipient(s) will be reimbursed for eligible expenses related to attending NPC25 for the purposes of presenting an education session.

Application opens February 3.
Application closes February 19.
Recipients will be notified by February 26.
Up to two members will receive funding awards.
