Membership Survey — 2017
The Women & Planning Division conducted a survey of its members in 2017. The goal of the survey was to explore what rises to the top of importance for our members, including the make-up of our members, important roles of the Division, the biggest issues facing Women in Planning, areas of improvement, and ways to enhance your membership.
Overall, the survey showed that our members are interested in promoting professional growth of women in the planning field, create a national network actively promoting and addressing women's issues in planning as well as the biggest issues facing women are: Pay Equity, Status/Role of Women in the Profession, and Preparation for Promotional Opportunities and Training.

Membership Survey — 2013
The Planning and Women Division conducted a survey of its members in fall 2013. The goal of the survey was to have a deeper understanding of who the members are, how they feel the Division is performing, and what improvements they would like to see implemented. Forty-five members responded to the survey, which represents an approximately 38% return rate.
Overall, the survey showed support for the Division's mission statement. In addition, the survey indicated that women and aging and the status/role of women within the planning profession are top issues of concern among the membership. The members also expressed an eagerness to assist in activities of the Division. The PWD Executive Committee is using the information from the survey to set priorities to be addressed in 2014.
Membership Survey — 2009
The Planning and Women Division conducted a survey of its members in 2009. The goal of the survey was to gain insight into conference and continuing education topics that interest members, and to get feedback on the Division's election process. The survey also asked questions related to the mission statement and newsletter. Fifty-four members responded to the survey, which represents a 43% return rate.
Like the 2013 version, the survey showed support for the Division's mission statement. In addition, the survey indicated that the role of women in the planning profession, as well as pay and general social equity are the women-oriented planning issues that most interest division members. According to the survey, PWD members would like to see the division sponsor sessions related to public policy affecting women, leadership, and moving into management.
